Missoula County Zoning Regulation Maintenance Update

An annual maintenance update to the Missoula County Zoning Regulations took effect September 14th, 2023. Projects submitted after this date will be reviewed under the updated code. This routine maintenance update does not amend policy, but provides clarity to existing regulations. Refer to the updated Zoning Regulations, dated September 14th, 2023, on our website. NEW: Missoula County-City rebate program will offer $500 for a heat pump water heater and an additional $75 for completing a satisfaction survey. You can find more information here.

The Board of County Commissioners for Missoula County passed Resolution 2022-123 pertaining to fee clarifications, form changes, 200 sq.ft. exemption definition clarification and the adoption of International Residential Code appendices Q, Tiny Houses and Strawbale Construction. To help the public during COVID, the Missoula County Building Division absorbed credit card fees. Starting Wednesday, June 1, 2022, the division will again apply a 3.2% third-party fee to all credit and debit card transactions.

The Seeley Lake office is permanently closed.
